The Educational Baristas
Brittany (briT) Bingold
I am a wife to a wonderful man and a mother of two beautiful, funny, and stubborn children: the first born in 2012 and the second in 2016. They keep me smiling and quite busy! I also have two dogs, Zola and Kubo, and a desert tortoise named Crush.
I became a Secondary English Teacher in 2008 and lovingly continued that work until I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis in 2018. When this occurred, I was required to step away from my students and the world of education; however, I was blessed to be able to heal while taking care of my then one-year-old son.
I currently am considered in remission, but still have chronic pain. It is a daily battle, but I am committed to doing my best. Teaching is my calling and brings me great joy.
Now, as an instructional specialist, I desire to inspire educators through instructional practices, technology tools, and classroom design. I am passionate about providing educators with ready-to-use strategies that are research-based to impact student learning. I also host the Learning Unlocked podcast, a new addition to my work life in the historical year of 2020.
In my free time I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors, even in the Arizona heat. Take me to the mountains, the beach, or the pool and I am a happy gal.
I have a supportive and loving family, hilarious and lovely friends, and a fun and challenging career. I am a lucky to be apart of this team and excited to share my passion for instruction as an "educational barista".
